Emediong Akpabio is a child rights expert with over 5 years of experience in campaign and policy design to improve the welfare of children and institutionalize the rights of every child.
Emediong Akpabio is a UNICEF Youth Champion, working with the AU office to combat harmful practices on the continent. He is currently working as the CEO of Child Solidarity Group, a non-profit that engages power people and policies to advance the economic and social rights of children in Africa.
Emediong also works broadly in human rights and diplomacy — serving with FII — a leading UN Intern advocacy organization in Geneva as Advocacy Coordinator for Africa, and has previously worked with the UN Office of the Special Adviser on Africa, AU Youth Envoy Office, and the United States Mission in Nigeria.

A donor questions your nonprofit's fund allocation. How will you address their concerns?
I think that every funding is an "integrity test" for nonprofit founders and organizations. Therefore to address allocation concerns with funders, I would prefer to communicate with impact outcome—showing clearly how each dollar/activity has contributed to the broad objective of the program. Being able to communicate this in a clear manner can always help.
