Due to its low thickness, this glass can easily bent into curved shapes and enables significant weight reduction compared to traditional insulating glass units. Each wall can absorb as much as CO2 as four trees in a year, turning them into active agents against climate change. 𝗔𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: world’s first electric 3D-printed abra launched in Dubai. 🚢🌱 Roads and Transport Authority has launched a trial operation of the world’s first electric abra, manufactured by Al Seer Marine with their #CEAD robotic #Flexbot system. As partners, we collaborated with Al Seer Marine to support in design, material choice and print strategies. This is a great example of Dubai and the UAE continuously pushing the boundaries of 3D printing applications in the maritime sector. This initiative aims to: • Cut manufacturing time by 90% 🕒 • Cut manufacturing costs by 30% 🏗️ • Cut operation and maintenance expenses by 30% 🛠️. 3D-printing such electric boats, promises to #revolutionize the #efficiency and sustainability of the city’s water transport system. The 3D-printed abra measures 11 meters in length and 3.1 meters in width, enabling the transport of up to 20 passengers. The 3D-printed abra was designed to retain the traditional abra identity. This great initiative by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in collaboration with Al Seer Marine, and #partnerships like ours to support them, are essential to push #LFAM technology to new heights and drive a #sustainable future.
