''Sometimes artists come in a little tense. I then arrange everything for them and take away their stress. Talk to them for a moment, chill for a while. In the end we are all one team. Me, my colleagues, but also the artist and their entourage. That's what makes the work so great: with every performance you work with new people. Different backgrounds, ages, gender. Before the war between Ukraine and Russia, Atlas Festival (which takes place in Kiev) was the biggest festival in Ukraine. Even under the harsh reality of today, the event took place in July. ''As an employee at SPOT, my duties include wardrobe, ticket control and standing behind the bar. The latter is the most fun. Especially during ESNS. Then the whole city is dedicated to music. My fellow students come to watch concerts during their study breaks. Before I came to work here, I hardly ever went to a show or concert. One day a relatively small artist played in the small concert hall. Country music, not really my cup of tea. But still I went to see it and I have been a fan of his ever since. ''I make sure people feel included during ESNS. From professionals at the conference to visitors to the festival, it's necessary for everyone to feel comfortable. I talk with a lot of people to make sure that ESNS is an inclusive event. For example, we had a safe space set up in the middle of the Grote Markt. Here people could unwind or talk to someone if they needed to. It is important that everyone feels seen and heard. If we work together, we make the festival and the world a bit more beautiful.''
