We're very pleased to share that as of the beginning of July, our application to join the European Commission's Equality platform for the energy sector has been accepted. We recognise that there is a need for a more equitable workforce within the energy industry and we commit to promoting the principles of #diversity and #inclusion within our organisation and amongst our members.  With this in mind, we requested esteemed Writer and Event Moderator in Energy, Climate and Gender Equality Anna Gumbau Martínez to write a piece on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the #energysector. During the energy crisis, Interconnector UK was shut down occasionally due to solids entering its filter system. Outages occurred at a time when exports were high for #securityofsupply reasons, with #LNG coming into the UK and then straight to the EU. Although #gasmarket fundamentals are currently robust, it's possible that we may experience periods of increased exports again. It's that time of the week again — #TeamTuesday! Say hello to our colleague Dagmara Dragan. 👋 Dagmara joined our Legal Committee team in March, specialising in #biogas, #ESG and legal opinions. Before joining Energy Traders Europe, she worked at Polish law firms for almost eight years providing services to some of the largest energy companies in Poland! We welcome the alignment of rules on zero-rating of #biomethane and #greenhydrogen under the #EUETS Monitoring and Reporting Regulation with the recast #RenewableEnergyDirective. What we now need is for its national implementation to facilitate and harmonise the way #traders transact in those gases across EU borders to achieve emissions reductions for ETS.
