Proud to announce our partnership in the upcoming #MIRACLE project! This €7.2 million project led by Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC) focusses on monitoring, classification, treatment and post-treatment care of cardiovascular, peri-operative and sleep-disordered patients. During the project, our speckle sensor will be used to collect data from patients. Proprietary algorithms are subsequently created using this data, contributing to the automatic detection of clinical disorders. We are excited to be among inspiring consortium partners like Catharina Hospital Eindhoven, Eindhoven University of Technology, Philips, Máxima MC, smartQare, Onera Health, Nemo Healthcare and many others! We are offering a unique internship opportunity for a student Clinical Technology or Biomedical Engineering to work on a project in collaboration with Erasmus MC and Praxa Sense. This way, you will be able to experience both working at a MedTech startup as well as gain insights from the clinical practice in an innovative research project. WE WON! Yesterday we finished the six-week Health & Care Tech Program, organized by YES!Delft and Erasmus MC. During the program we got the opportunity to talk to nurses and other healthcare professionals on the implementation of Afi in healthcare. These talks resulted in a pilot plan that was presented to a jury of experts, and we are proud to say that we won a pilot to test Afi in the Erasmus MC! We want to thank all the organizers (especially Timothy Singowikromo and Amber Marijs) and the staff from the Erasmus for sharing their insights (especially Thomas Riedel and Marlieke Slappendel) and look forward to a fruitful collaboration!

NVVC Congress: A Deep Dive into Medical Device Innovation Challenges At the recent Nederlandse Vereniging voor Cardiologie (NVVC) Congress, we had the distinct opportunity to engage with the medical community on the issues facing medical device startups. Our co-founder, Leonard Moonen, stood among notable thought leaders such as Dr. Michiel Winter and Dr. Jonas de Jong, in a session chaired by Dr. G. Aernout Somsen, MD PhD FACC FESC Somsen and Dr Roderick Scherptong. Leonard discussed the pioneering journey of developing 'Afi', our innovative remote patient monitor and the development of our revolutionary SPG sensor. In a completely filled room with around 350 healthcare professionals, we navigated through the complex tapestry of challenges in the medical device landscape, MDR compliance being a significant focus point. Our dialogue underscored the hurdles of stringent regulations and the resilience and creativity needed to bring transformative products to market. Leonard's presentation sparked a broader conversation about startups' hurdles, from securing funding and navigating regulatory pathways to actualising product development and market entry. We delved into the realities of innovation in the healthcare sector, balancing the excitement of breakthrough technology with the practicalities of bringing such advancements to fruition.
