The market for meat substitutes is growing again. 📈 One of the reasons is the increasingly better quality of the products. Something we as producers work hard on every day. We have our own guidelines for product development to ensure that we develop products that meet health requirements, legislation and the wishes of our business partners who bring the product to consumers. It's not always easy. 📊🍔 Vleesvervanger is de verkoopdip weer te boven Dat schreef Het Financieele Dagblad vandaag, onder andere op basis van onze kennis en inzichten met betrekking tot de markt. In het kort: 📈 Nederlandse groothandels leverden afgelopen twee jaar twee keer zoveel vleesvervangers aan horeca en cateringbedrijven. 🏪 Supermarkten verkopen na een afzetdip ook weer meer plantaardige alternatieven, in Nederland en omliggende landen. 🌱 Het herstel kan te maken hebben met betere recepturen, herstel van consumentenbestedingen en nieuwe duurzaamheidsdoelen van bedrijven. This certification marks a significant step forward in our quality assurance. We are very proud of our team in Pune! On the photo the audit meeting. We have also conducted extensive research on soybean variation 🌿 , which we will soon replicate in the Netherlands. 👋 Arie Pieter Vervoorn 📍 Giessen, The Netherlands 👩💻 Finance Manager   How does Arie-Pieter Verdoorn, in his role as Finance Manager, ensure that Schouten can fulfil its core values?   I consider reliability to be Schouten's most important core value. The finance department is mainly an internally focused department. We ensure that we carry out our work correctly, carefully and with a high degree of dedication. Reliability is absolutely essential in helping the finance department achieve these aims.   𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝘀 I'm analytical and results-oriented, and I like working with numbers. I therefore enjoy making profit and loss statements. Our department sees everything, from purchasing to sales. Based on these numbers, we can also see how things are going to develop in the future. This enables you to strategically plan for Schouten's future and to determine which strategy to follow based on the data.   The coolest thing about my job is ensuring the numbers are crunched on time and basing strategic analyses on this data. This enables us to more clearly and accurately identify any sticking points and areas for improvement. This ultimately helps the company save money.   𝗔 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗼 I really enjoy working at Schouten. In addition to my work as Finance Manager at Schouten, I'm also a councillor for the CDA in the municipality of Altena. Schouten is a flexible company. I can easily combine my work, private life and role as a councillor.

Peter Schouten participated last month in the launch of 'Brabant the Scale-Up Plant of Europe', an ambitious initiative by the Provincie Noord-Brabant. We are a proud launching partner of this project. The goal? Within five years, Brabant aims to become the leading European scale-up location for new plant-based food ingredients. The Scale-Up Plant supports start-ups and innovative entrepreneurs. Scale-ups include, for example revyve, PeelPioneers - a #FoodTech500 company#FoodTech500 company 🍊 and BeefyGreen 🍄. Established companies share their unique mix of knowledge, facilities, and network with start-ups. This helps start-ups advance in their scale-up phase. Schouten is fully committed to realizing this. During the kick-off, impressive food innovations were presented through pitches, presentations, and lunch dishes.
