    I visited UNC Chapel Hill on exchange for Semester 2, 2014 after attaining a 3.0 GPA average allowing me to attend the university. Throughout the semester I was actively involved in the sporting, social and academic life of the university.

    Over a 3 month period, I have taken part in an introductory music production course based around the world renowned digital audio workstation (DAW) Ableton Live 9. Through this course I have been able to develop skills in:

  • SW/TCH Festival-Scentre Group Challenge

    SWITCH Festival is an innovation tournament that took place from the 27-29 August in Sydney. It is a platform for stimulating thought, challenging ideas and forging unlikely alliances.

    The first day of the SWITCH Festival was dedicated to transformation, during which we learnt the core principals of collaboration, industry disruption and rapid experimentation.

    SWITCH Festival is an innovation tournament that took place from the 27-29 August in Sydney. It is a platform for stimulating thought, challenging ideas and forging unlikely alliances.

    The first day of the SWITCH Festival was dedicated to transformation, during which we learnt the core principals of collaboration, industry disruption and rapid experimentation.

    The next two days were a collaboration engine room, where corporate challenges were presented and we were encouraged to solve big business and societal challenges. After being appointed the Scentre Group Challenge, our cross-industry team applied our learning from the SW/TCH Festival to the task at hand. The nature of "cross-industry collaboration" within the team allowed us to foster stimulating and unique ideas. After 48 hours of preparation, we then arranged a pitch and presented to a board of judges.

  • Deloitte Fastrack Innovation Program-Runners Up

    The Fastrack Innovation Program is an accelerated subject in intrapreneurship based within a corporate environment. The objective is to formulate teams and prepare an idea for Deloitte or one of Deloitte's partners that they can use. Throughout the subject we learnt:

    -The importance of defining valuable problems and envisioning the pains and gains that a new idea could provide for the customer.
    -Market engagement and prototyping through a proof of concept report. This involved gaining…

    The Fastrack Innovation Program is an accelerated subject in intrapreneurship based within a corporate environment. The objective is to formulate teams and prepare an idea for Deloitte or one of Deloitte's partners that they can use. Throughout the subject we learnt:

    -The importance of defining valuable problems and envisioning the pains and gains that a new idea could provide for the customer.
    -Market engagement and prototyping through a proof of concept report. This involved gaining primary and secondary data on the customer and understanding the position of the business we were pitching for.
    -The importance of simplicity and immaculate presentation when delivering information to a potential client or customer.

    We were required to pitch our idea to a panel of judges including employees and senior partners from both Deloitte and NSW Transport.

    Upon pitching to a board of two Deloitte junior partners on our idea, we were advanced to the finals. We were one of 6 groups out of 40 (roughly 200 people) to be chosen. Within the finals, we pitched to a room of 40-50 people with a board at the front comprising of senior partners from Deloitte and NSW Transport. We were unsuccessful in winning the competition, however, the valuable insight we received from the board has developed our understanding on how to formulate, research and pitch an idea to investors.
