You’re a sales professional. How can you stay ahead of the competition?
Work on shifting the mindset from 'is there a deal for me here?' to --> 'what value can we deliver'? This will pay off massive dividends in the long run. Keep it mind: It will sometimes mean you have to qualify out and direct the prospect elsewhere because you aren't best positioned to help them solve pain that's important enough to solve for.

There are a number of very basic things that shockingly the majority of our industry doesn't do, like; - Doing prep and research ahead of a meeting (stakeholders, company) - Sending/suggesting an agenda ahead of a meeting - Timely follow-up Before you start considering further skills and knowledge, make sure hygiene is executed - always.

What are the best ways to support outside sales reps after training?
I've recently come across the T3B3 model and started using this on a quarterly basis. With clear communication you can continuously articulate what is going well (keep doing) and where you need to improve together. Top 3, Bottom 3. This works great in any setting (office, remote).

What are the best ways to support outside sales reps after training?
Start with having a clear set of expectations underpinned by a measurement plan. Most teams look at lagging indicators (revenue output primarily). Treating this like new business meetings, prep meetings with leaders wrapped by an overall positive and trust-based culture is the foundation of a high - performing team with consistency across sellers.
