Bringing together marketing and technology has been my business since 1993. First as an application developer, later as the founder / CEO of reddion, which combined marketing and technology to deliver a range of services from online media-campaigns to email marketing, CRM platform implementations, search and web analytics.
After selling that company to WPP, one of the worlds’ largest media businesses,in 2007, I became first COO for their Dutch operation and subsequently moved on to an international and ultimately global role as global COO for the digital ‘connect’ business of GroupM. A decade of experience in a corporate, global environment working on innovation, acquisitions and delivering consistently across more than 80 markets.
25+ years after I started, everything seems different and at the same time, nothing really changed. Marketing and technology are increasingly connected, the complexity of technology driven media strategy and execution is hard to understand and the proper application of data and intelligence is increasingly challenging.
I'm still fascinated by all of it and try to spend my working days in the board of Azerion applying my experience in acquisitions and international management to the companies that provide great and clear services to our clients and growing our company towards its ambitious goals.
