I am fluent in sustainability and interested in its translation to business. I use knowledge to create bridges between disciplines and as a result create innovative solutions. Currently, doing the Master Forest and Nature Conservation at Wageningen University and Research as well as following the entrepreneurs track. During my master degree I co-founded the startup BrewRight.

I am passionate about learning and gaining skills, it is a continues journey. The focus of my studies have been topics surrounding the next challenges of the earth in the face of climate change. By learning about the problems we face solutions can be found, cross disciplinary.

I have a bachelor in Watermanagement bachelor of science, majoring in Aquatic Eco Technology at the HZ University of Applied Sciences. I have always been eager to get as much out of my study time as possible and involved myself in many extracurricular activities, such as filling in the role of chairwoman of DASA (student association), being student representative and joined the Honours Program by making a documentary in sustainable fashion in 3 metropolitan cities. For my bachelor thesis I created a sustainable bioplastics to replace current plastic used for embellishments.

I believe that learning also comes in the form of gaining a better understanding of the types of cultures and people that inhabit the earth together. Every culture or place has some new insights on how to live life. I lived in Australia, the UK and did my minor in Canada at the University of Waterloo.

Overall, I am interested in topics such as conservation, sustainable fashion, sustainable agriculture, ecological engineering, circularity and the bio-based economy.

    I joined the volunteering program for the World Water Week in Stockholm. Together with more then 50 other people of all ages we functioned as the support team that helped out during sessions, welcomed delegates and in our free time joined different sessions and events. This was a great opportunity to broadening my understanding by gaining insights into the latest technologies, grow as an individual, but most importantly to network in order to cross-pollinate ideas.

    Gezondheid

    This is an institute for the elderly, which was right next to my old high school. I was present every week ( once or twice a week) to help with the church ceremony, helped patients get to and from their room to the physiotherapy appointments and hosted the reading section by providing coffee, thee and conversation. Overall, I learned a lot about our current health system and enjoyed the time i spend although some cases were more confronting then others.
