🛠January 24 is Circular Electronics Day♻ - a global initiative that aims to raise awareness of the benefits of a more sustainable use of electronic products and the importance of reuse and recycling to reduce e-waste. The day is an important reminder to make thoughtful choices when buying and handling electronic products, and to inspire people and businesses to reuse, repair and recycle their electronics. Most people in the Nordics have old cell phones and other electronics at home that they do not use. The components of these products are often valuable and can be reused in new technology. In an average home, there are as many as 36 electronic products that are collecting dust and are not used. These can be reused or recycled - so called circulated - by returning them to us. Elkjøp Nordic show early signs of recovery in half year results - gross margins back up to the levels of two years ago CEO Fredrik Tønnesen comments: “We are still affected by sales decline, inflation and a weak Norwegian currency, but with strong cost discipline we deliver an improvement in results we are quite satisfied with in today's market.
