It's been an 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭 week for our US team! We divided our efforts to be able to attend RE+ in California and also be a part of the action at Houston Energy and Climate Week. We met some interesting characters (Austin Powers thinks Enode is groovy 🕺), and got to meet and get inspired by a diverse group of people, from a range of industries and backgrounds. Love seeing so many profiles attending, and different sectors coming together to tackle topics that are near and dear to our hearts. Thanks to everyone who joined us – and happy Friday! 🍻 #REPlus24 #HTXEnergyClimateWeek

Accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy system by connecting and optimizing the world’s energy devices.
Om oss
Enode’s APIs enable you to instantly connect users’ energy devices — including EVs, solar inverters, home batteries and thermostats — to your app. You can surface data, and then take action with it. Our out-of-the-box algorithms allow you to control and optimize your users’ energy devices. A few lines of code will save you months of integration and ongoing maintenance. We cut the cost and complexity of building energy management apps, so you can focus on what matters: creating user-centric experiences that drive engagement, and accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy system.

Incredible to see the Enode brand getting this kind of recognition! We are super proud to have made it into CHARGE - Powering Energy Brands' B2B Innovator of the Year shortlist 💚 As a young and still rather lean company, the Enode brand has evolved organically, built collectively with the contributions of many individuals and teams. For this reason, we consider it to be a true representation of our people and culture. Thanks to all our fantastic Enode teammates for making it possible 👏

Til våre norske venner: Enode CEO Henrik Langeland had a chat with Lucas H. Weldeghebriel for the Shifter.no podcast to discuss Enode's relatively quick rise to success. A nifty solution to a real pain. Love seeing it, Grant MacLennan 👏
Sometimes, to get a break from coding, I like to code 🧑💻 And on Sunday I built something: TL'DR: It's an AI-powered phone line that finds the closest EV charger near you based on your location and vehicle specs. One workflow we hear from EV fleets is when a driver phones a fleet manager saying they need to charge and expecting the fleet manager to tell them where to go... To the driver, it's easy. Making a call is hands-free, keep your eyes on the road, and you don't need to pull out an app. For a Fleet manager, it's a pain in the ass. Where's the vehicle? How fast can it charge? What stations are nearby? How do I navigate them? So, using the magical power of ✨AI✨: - It's a phone line powered via Twilio - The driver calls hands-free as though it's any other phone number. - It takes input from what the driver says and passes it into an OpenAI assistants model using GTP4o mini. - The audio responses processed by ElevenLabs to give a little je ne sais quoi 👌 - The assistant has several tools. 1. Connect to the vehicle via the Enode, giving location, state of charge & max charging speed. 2. A lookup of the Bypass chargers API with real-time availability 3. The google maps API to calculate distance. 3. The Tesla fleet API to send navigation instructions.

We need an upgraded, intelligent and open energy system because the one we have today can’t handle the growing disparity between electricity supply and demand. Failure to keep the two in balance puts millions of people at risk of blackouts – especially in extreme weather conditions, when the stakes are highest. But where is all the additional electricity demand coming from? In this edition of the open energy newsletter, we look at what’s driving the spike in demand for electricity – and why we’re currently so ill-equipped to respond to it.

The Enode team hopped over to Chicago for the Peak Load Management Alliance (@PLMAdr) EV symposium earlier this week. It was great to get to touch base with customers and other industry experts. We've definitely come back full of new insights and questions to ponder over 💡 But generally great to see how the industry is pushing for innovation on so many fronts, and tackling grid optimization as a key challenge as we move towards widespread adoption of EVs.
