Teambuilding Horisont Energi – CU2 😀 Yesterday we had a great event at Kvitsøy packed with work related updates and social activities. Developing the company culture together. One of our tasks was to build a boat. We were divided into four teams where each team managed to launch a boat just in time for a boat race. All in and open minded to put a great idea into real life with a goal to win the race. A lot of laughter and a special thanks to the brave team members who got into the boats! Empowered by a great cook at Kvitsøy the Horisont Energi team was responsible for making the cocktails and the dinner for the evening. Well tasting food and the dishes were prepared in a delicate way. A day to remember and reflect on to create an even better working environment at Horisont Energi. Malene Sandøy, CSO var tilstede på årets store happening i hydrogenbransjen; nemlig årets Hydrogenkonferanse i regi av Norsk Hydrogenforum i går! Det er ingen tvil om at Norge kan bli ledende på hydrogen og ammoniakk og at vi allerede har kommet langt på vei. Vårt Barents Blue-prosjekt i Hammerfest er et av få fullskala-prosjekter, og er i tillegg et IPCEI-prosjekt (Important Project of Common European Interest), nettopp fordi det vil bli Europas største, rene ammoniakkfabrikk med et rekordlavt karbonavtrykk. 📣 Changes to the Board of Directors. We applaud our employee, Céline Pithoud and congratulate her on her new role as the company's employee representative on our Board of Director 👏 🤩 Celine has been with the company for over 2 years as a Procurement Manager, and is now our Project Manager on the Polaris project.

✨ Yesterday, Hege Økland participated in the Energiskiftet Conference in Sola, an event that focused on the challenges and opportunities in five key areas of energy transition: offshore winds, carbon capture, batteries, hydrogen, and seabed minerals.   🚢 Hege presented Iverson’s green ammonia plant and talked about the role of green ammonia in decarbonising the maritime industry. She also joined Rune Halseid and Ronny Haufe in a panel discussion on hydrogen and its directives. Jorunn Brigtsen and Leiv Olav Kallestad are representing Horisont Energi at the European Conference CO2 Capture, Storage & Reuse in Copenhagen this week.

At the 2024 World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition in Rotterdam, the world’s hydrogen policy and strategy leaders presented the latest advances and pioneering hydrogen projects and discussed together how the development of the hydrogen economy can be accelerated. 🚀      At yesterday's trilateral forum on hydrogen cooperation in Northwestern Europe over 100 partners from Innovasjon Norge, Royal Norwegian Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Germany and NRW.Energy4Climate discussed the potential in cooperation between Norway, the Netherlands and Germany, which will serve as the cornerstone for a European hydrogen market by 2050.      The participants in the forum all highlighted that we are stronger together:     "International connections are essential for the ramp-up and establishment of a liquid H2 market. Integrating and connecting European markets will be a key success factor: design our systems in such a way, that no trade barriers between countries are inherently build in. Do it right from the start," said Helmie Botter, Manager Business Development Hydrogen, Gasunie.     Dennis Wehmeyer, Head of Hydrogen & Sustainability at GASCADE Gastransport GmbH said: “AquaDuctus will be the nucleus for the development of a hydrogen infrastructure in the North Sea to connect offshore hydrogen and neighbouring countries at the same time.”     Henrik Solgaard Andersen, VP for Global Hydrogen at Equinor said "H2M Eemshaven is a perfect start for a trilateral partnership that kick starts hydrogen development in the Netherlands and Germany."    “We are thrilled to see a trilateral cooperation happen between Germany, Netherlands and Norway. Horisont Energi work with industrial clients in both Germany and the Netherlands, and we see many synergies from Norway, Germany and the Netherlands engaging in a trilateral cooperation,” said Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen, CO-CEO and Founder, Horisont Energi.      “Low emission Hydrogen could play an important role in BASF’s transformation towards NetZero2050. The prerequisite: timely availability of infrastructures to access large amounts of H2 at competitive prices. The Q1 Report 2024 for Horisont Energi was published this morning Horisont Energi has sharpened its focus in the first quarter, following the corporate restructuring into the three separate entities Horisont Ammoniakk, Horisont Karbon, and Horisont Infra. “Horisont Energi is approaching a series of important milestones for each of its new subsidiaries. The new organisational structure has been well received and has contributed to constructive partner dialogues during the first months of 2024,” comments Horisont Energi’s Co-CEOs Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen and Leiv Olav Kallestad.
