Polar Algae were a topic at #dnbnxt and mentioned by Kjerstin Braathen in her opening speech «Sea algae from Polar Algae. They harvest algae that can be used as dietary supplement, in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and agriculture. Polar Algae is part of our accelerator program #FutureSea by Norinnova AS.»
- Today we need entrepreneurs, innovation and growth more than ever. We have uncertainty around us, with war in Europe and climate change. We need to relentlessly work to continue to support startups and entrepreneurs to try to make the solutions for Norway and the rest of the world, said Kjerstin Braathen when she opened #DNBNXT in Oslo. - I believe the following trends and industries are important, I want to highlight these companies: - The maritime industry is important for Norway, and we need to find solutions for a green energy transition. An excellent example for this trend is the startup ECOnnect Energy, represented by CEO Miriam Wennberg, that works for finding solutions for #greenshipping. Health care: - Dignio has developed a machine that releases medicine at the right time at home in a safe manner. We will experience fewer working hands and more people need care as the retired population increase. To solve this we need technology and innovation. I believe Norway has a role to play in building health care solutions for the future. Food: - Sea algae from Polar Algae. They harvest algae that can be used as dietary supplement, in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and agriculture. Polar Algae is part of our accelerator program #FutureSea by Norinnova AS. - I am convinced that Norway can develop companies and solutions for the world in these industries. It always starts with an idea and a story. DNB NXT is the spot where ideas and stories meet with capital, where entrepreneurs meet investors.
