In this week's #MeetOurPeople, we'd like you to meet one of the youngest employees at the Southampton Terminal, Daniel Terry! 🚛 What I do and why it is important: As a member of the receiving department at Southampton Terminal, my role involves receiving and processing cargo for onward shipment from various OEMs such as JCB, Caterpillar, Jaguar, and Land Rover. This is a busy role with over 900 pieces of cargo arriving daily. In addition to receiving cargo, we generate location lists for the vessel team to ensure efficient cargo allocation and optimal utilization of vessel space. Any issues that arise are our responsibility to rectify and communicate to the team. 📄 ✅ 🌍 What makes me proud of working in Wallenius Wilhelmsen: I am privileged to be able to work within a department that possesses a broad range of knowledge, from technological knowledge or a marine and shipping knowledge. There is always something new to learn, and the opportunities for personal and professional improvement are limitless. I am also honored to have the freedom to collaborate with the team on recent initiatives such as the RoRo Rodeo bolsters, which were showcased and have now become part of a global challenge. Currently I am one of 3 Dare to be Aware ambassadors from the Southampton Terminal as part of an ongoing project to ensure that all employees go home safe to their families. 🌐 🎆

In this week's #MeetOurPeople, we'd like you to meet Sales Support Officer in the Finland Office, Andrés Faehnle. 🚀 What I do and why it is important: My main responsibilities involve comprehensively coordinating OEM, project, and liner/spot export cargo from Finland to all regions. I also support sales with rate inquiries and offers. Forecasting the needed equipment and arranging it to Finland in cooperation with the Equipment Team is a significant part of my daily tasks. 🌟What makes me proud of working in Wallenius Wilhelmsen: In my experience, our company strikes a perfect balance between vision and innovation. We are dedicated to complying with environmental regulations for emissions reduction and minimizing environmental impact, which is crucial to our business relationships with customers and our overall reputation. My fondest memory is from my first weeks with the company when I had the opportunity to spend three weeks in Southampton and Bremerhaven. During that time, I visited our offices, terminals at the ports, our own vessels, and most importantly, met many new colleagues. The atmosphere was pleasant everywhere, and I felt warmly welcomed into the Wallenius Wilhelmsen family - a great way to start my journey with the company.

🚢 Excited to share the new addition to our fleet! We are happy to announce an exciting development in our fleet expansion with the acquisition of the vessel Porgy. Previously owned by WALL RO/RO AB, M/V Porgy has been a valued member of our time charter fleet and has now been officially purchased and integrated into our fleet. 🚢 Currently at IMC Shipyard in Zhoushan, China, Porgy is set for a 15-year dry docking next week with major sustainability upgrades: enhanced crew accommodations, state-of-the-art navigational equipment, and energy-efficient engine upgrades. Plus, we're installing a CO2 firefighting system for top-notch safety. "The acquisition of Porgy and the planned upgrades underscore our commitment to maintaining a modern, efficient, and sustainable fleet.
