The 85 Best Non–Prime Day Deals

Photo-Illustration: The Strategist; Photos: Retailers

Prime Day ends tonight, and Amazon is continuing to drop prices on loads of items — many of which you can find in our extensive list of Amazon Prime Day deals — until the clock strikes 11:59 p.m. PT. That said, if you’re a Never Primer, you’re still in luck: Plenty of other retailers are getting in on the discount frenzy, making this week a summer Black Friday of sorts (Best Buy even called its sale that).

I’ve scoured the web for the best Prime Day alternative sales and included a few sales that are exclusive to Strategist readers. You’ll have the most luck in the bedding department, where there are steep discounts to be had on Strategist-loved brands like Casper, the Company Store, Cozy Earth, and Ettitude. There are also some nice fashion deals from Everlane, Urban Outfitters, and Hanna Andersson, but I’d recommend shopping sooner rather than later as stock is going quickly.

Here, I’ve organized the deals alphabetically by retailer and noted, whenever possible, when the sale is slated to end. Per Strategist standards, all the deals below are 20 percent off or more (anything less than that typically just isn’t a good deal). I’ll be updating this article until the end of the day, so check back here as I add more deals on Strategist-loved brands that aren’t Amazon. Also, make sure you don’t miss a single good sale in the future by signing up for our email newsletter to stay on top of all the latest deals.

The Deals I Personally Think Are the Best

There are 85 deals on this list, but these three are the ones I’m eyeing for my own cart. They stood out to me because of the steep discounts — all above half off — and because I know these brands are reliable, both for my own wear and as gifts for others.

Anthropologie

I could poke through Anthropologie’s sale section for hours, but since I have some very important deal-hunting to do, I had to limit myself to these three highlights. The brand is offering 40 percent off the sale section for a limited (and unspecified) time, so don’t dillydally!

Backcountry

Backcountry’s Flash Sale ends tonight, so there’s just a few hours left to save up to 70 percent on tons of outdoor gear and apparel.

Best Buy

You’ll be able to shop Best Buy’s Black Friday in July until July 17. I found this sweet deal on a Dyson vacuum and a generous discount on this smart TV that doubles as a digital art display.

Bruvi

If you’re looking to revamp your coffee routine, you can get the Bruvi bundle for 50 percent off through July 18 with the promo code PRIME150. The bundle includes the coffee brewer, a variety of eco-friendly pods, and more coffee-related fun.

Brümate

Our team loves Brümate for its Hopsulator Slim, which will keep beers cold during this summer heat wave — but the brand also makes an array of good-looking portable mugs. You can take 40 percent off the Toddy series collection through July 31.

Caraway

Caraway’s sale favors big spenders, so if you’re willing to drop more than $625, you’ll get 20 percent off your order until July 21. I found some larger bundles, which include Strategist favorites like the Nonstick Ceramic Frying Pan, that are eligible for the promotion.

Casper

Moving to the bedroom, you’ll find up to 30 percent off at Casper until July 17. I spotted the little light that’s beloved by interior designers and a bundle that includes just about everything you’ll need for a good night’s rest.

The Company Store

The Company Store is offering 25 percent off sitewide and up to 40 percent off on certain items with the code FLASH24. You’ll find deals on some of our favorite bed and bath staples (including our best-overall down comforter) until July 18.

Converse

If you’re back-to-school clothes shopping, it’s definitely worth checking out Converse’s sale, which is offering 50 percent off select styles until July 21. You’ll just need to use the code DEAL50.

Cozy Earth

Cozy Earth, which makes some of our favorite bedsheets and pajamas, is offering 35 percent off until July 17 with the code STRATEGIST.

Dermstore

Through July 17, if you have a Dermstore Rewards account (or sign up for one for free), you’ll be able to save up to 25 percent off on some of our go-to beauty and skin-care brands — including EltaMD and CosRX — at Dermstore. Other highlights of the sale include 25 percent off all Sunday Riley, Grande Cosmetics, and Stila products.

Dyson

Dyson is offering discounts on a few of its gadgets through July 20, including $100 off one of the brand’s hair dryers with the option to add two free attachments.

Everlane

Last week, we found lots of solid staples on sale at Everlane, and the sale is still going strong. I’m highlighting these pieces because they seem especially heat-wave-worthy, but you’ll find plenty of items for all seasons if you keep browsing.

Ettitude

Sweaty sleepers can get some reprieve from this seemingly never-ending heat wave now that Ettitude is offering 30 percent off sitewide until July 17 with the code STRAT30. You’ll find some of our favorite cooling sleep gear on sale, including our best-in-class cooling bamboo sheets and bamboo-lyocell duvet cover.

Great Jones

Great Jones certainly knows how to zhuzh up a kitchen with its colorful pieces, but the brand’s kitchen staples aren’t all looks. Some of our favorites include the sheet pan and Dutch oven, and you can now take 20 percent off the entire site until July 23 with our exclusive code VOX20.

Hanna Andersson

Kylie Kelce’s favorite kids’-pajamas brand is offering 30 percent off when you mix and match three items or more plus up to 75 percent off clearance until July 18. I found a lot of heavily discounted swimsuits, and the adorable patterns here are just scratching the surface of what’s available on the site.

J.Crew

Every once in a while, J.Crew drops prices on its Strategist-approved cashmere, and right now you can save up to 40 percent on select sweaters, cardigans, and tops (your winter self will thank you).

Mark & Graham

Around the holidays, I always find myself scouring Mark & Graham for monogrammable gifts — and the summer sale is a good excuse to start shopping early. You can get an extra 20 percent off the retailer’s sale with the code EXTRA20. These elegant (monogrammable) beer mugs would look nice next to the brand’s custom mint julep cups (both of which make great wedding gifts).

Monos

You’ll find up to 35 percent off at celebrity-loved travel brand Monos through July 17. The discount will depend on the color you choose: You can get 35 percent off classic collection luggage in Stellar White and Terrazzo, and 25 percent off Rose Quartz, Blue Haze, Storm Grey, Terracotta, and Sage Green. There’s also 20 percent off bags and use the code FREQUENTFLYER for 15 percent off everything else.

Munchkin

The parents on the Strategist team love Munchkin products (especially the Miracle 360 Sippy Cup). Now, you’ll get 20 percent off your entire order from the site until July 17 with the code PRIME. For even more deals on essentials for little ones, check out our article on Prime Day deals for kids’ and babies’ items.

Nike

There are some nice deals to be had at Nike through July 17 if you sign up for a free membership. I found these retro Air Force 1s and some flow-y shorts for men in a lot of colors. Just don’t forget to use the code EXTRA25 to maximize your savings.

Nordstrom

Since Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale doesn’t end until August 4, you’ll have plenty of time to shop the site after Prime Day ends. The women’s section is usually where you’ll find the best deals — including the Skims dress below — but there are plenty of other great deals to be had across the department store.

Our Place

Finally, Our Place is dropping prices 30 percent through July 21. I’ve been testing the Perfect Power Pot and think it’s an ideal starter pot for any incoming college freshman without a personal kitchen.

Parachute

I love a warehouse sale, especially when it’s for one of our most beloved bed-and-bath brands: Parachute. I scoured the site and found our favorite percale duvet cover and plush bathrobe on sale — just note there’s no stated end date for this sale, so I’d shop sooner rather than later.

Rothy’s

Rothy’s Final Few sale has been going strong for a while now, and there are still some worthy pairs worth shopping for. Some sizes are going quickly, so I wouldn’t wait.

Target

Just in case you missed Target’s Circle Week sale last week, the retailer is marking down products again — this time for its two-day deals event. The Strategist parents are particularly impressed by the toy deals, but I saw some solid markdowns on home goods as well.

The Strategist is designed to surface useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Every product is independently selected by our team of editors, whom you can read about here. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
