MTV HOST: I’M SICK OF MY JOB – CAROLLA MAY QUIT ‘LOVELINE’ WHEN ‘MAN SHOW’ KICKS IN

LOVELINES’ sarcastic and irreverent star, Adam Carolla, says he’s sick of doing the MTV show and is underpaid.

Carolla is also the co-host of the upcoming Comedy Central program, “The Man Show,” which debuts on June 16.

“I’m already thinking about leaving [TV’s] ‘Loveline’ regardless of whether or not ‘The Man Show’ is a success,” Carolla told The Post. “I’m so done with that ****** ‘Loveline’ and not getting paid.”

Carolla co-hosts the TV sex-help show along with Dr. Drew Pinsky. On the show, audience members and callers ask the pair – and their celebrity guests – for sex advice.

“Now the show is a big hit and they’re still not paying me anything.”

However, some friends and colleagues suggest Carolla is not completely serious.

Whining about the MTV version of “Loveline” is a regular occurrence for Carolla, who often slams the show when he is on the radio, according to a L.A. radio executive.

“The Man Show” is co-produced by Stone Stanely Productions, the same studio that produces “Loveline” for TV.

“We’re not overly concerned about him leaving [‘Loveline’],” said Scott Stone one of the two executive producers of “Loveline.”

“We’ve got a contract with Adam and he’s always fulfilled his obligations. He shows up every day, does his job, and he’s an incredibly professional performer.”

Meanwhile, “The Man Show,” is the cornerstone of the biggest primetime lineup in Comedy Central’s eight-year history. Along with Carolla, the show is co-hosted with TV’s Jimmy Kimmel, who also is the host of the network’s only game show, “Win Ben Stein’s Money.”

On “The Man Show,” Carolla and Kimmel will host a weekly half-hour of skits and segments celebrating things that most guys like, such as beer, beef-jerky, adult film stars – who will offer household hints – and women in miniskirts jumping on trampolines.

Meanwhile, Carolla and Pinsky’s radio show is heading to WNEW this summer.

“I like doing the radio show,” Carolla said. “It only takes a couple of hours each night and it’s not too taxing.”
