GRAVANO, SON FACE JOINT TRIAL

A Brooklyn federal judge yesterday ruled that Salvatore “Sammy Bull” Gravano and his son, Gerard, will be tried together on drug charges.

Calling it “unnecessary,” District Judge Allyne Ross yesterday refused Gerard Gravano’s request to sever his upcoming trial from that of his father, the infamous Gambino crime family hit man.

Last week, The Post reported exclusively that Gerard Gravano, known in some circles as “Baby Bull,” wanted his own trial, fearing that his father’s “prior bad acts” could “really hurt” the son in front of a jury.

The 55-year old father and 25-year old son face federal drug charges for allegedly buying millions of hits of “ecstasy” from an Israeli drug ring operating out of New York.

Their trial is set to begin June 4.
