Guitarist wanted

Attention, rock star wannabes: Limp Bizkit’s 22-city “Putting Your Guitar Where Your Mouth Is” tour hits New York’s Guitar Center in Queens Jan. 28.

The rap-metal band is looking to replace guitarist Wes Borland.

An ad on the group’s Web site reads, “Wanted: one guitar player. Must like to meet people, travel.” Auditions wrap up in L.A. on Feb. 10.

Stay tuned

It looks like twilight time for Nashville’s WSM-AM, the Home of the Grand Ole Opry – but it won’t go quietly.

WSM has been broadcasting live from the Grand Ole Opry for 76 years. But last year, the station began streaming live over the ‘Net at http://www.wsmonline.com

Word has it that owners Clear Channel/Gaylord Entertainment plans to switch to an all-sports format.

Twenty-one-year-old Elizabeth Davis has organized a letter writing and call-in campaign to help save the station.

Fans are asked to voice their opposition by signing a petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/savewsm or by calling the station owners.– M.H.

Game over

Majestic has been dethroned.

Gamemaker Electronics Arts is shutting down Majestic, a PC game that stalked its players by calling, faxing and e-mailing them at work or at home.

Players received notification yesterday that the “X-Files”-like puzzle-solving game will be shut down April 30.

Game play can be completed in just under two months, so it’s possible to solve the mystery before the curtain rings down.
