RUDY’S TAKEN MANHATTAN, NOW IT’S TIME FOR STATEN

Rudy Giuliani may soon be commuting to work on the Staten Island Ferry.

The former mayor – who’s now making big bucks in the private sector – has been house-hunting in the swanky Todt Hill section of the borough, and is close to inking a deal, local real-estate sources told The Post.

One source said Giuliani, who is rarely seen these days without gal pal Judi Nathan, had been checking out houses in the $2 million price range.

Giuliani can afford it – he’s begun making speeches at $100,000 a pop, has a $3 million book deal and is setting up his own company in affiliation with the Ernst & Young accounting firm.

Several brokers in the area confirmed that Giuliani appears to have narrowed his search to the neighborhood of an old nemesis, the late mob boss Paul Castellano, who was slain outside Sparks steakhouse in 1985, and other reputed organized-crime figures.

Todt Hill, known for its pricey homes, quiet streets and lush surroundings, is the residential neighborhood in Staten Island,” said Jon Salmon of Salmon Real Estate.

He compared Todt Hill to tony suburbs like Great Neck on Long Island and Short Hills, N.J.

“Most people there are bankers, stockbrokers, attorneys, successful professionals,” he said.

Giuliani, who has said he enjoys Staten Island’s golf courses, wouldn’t be far from Todt Hill’s Richmond County Country Club, the city’s only private country club, which has a championship golf course.

Giuliani’s spokeswoman, Sunny Mindel, denied the former mayor was looking at houses on Staten Island.
