QNS. TEEN STABS HIMSELF TO DEATH

A bright but troubled Queens teen stabbed himself to death in his parents’ home yesterday, police said.

Police said Thomas Furman, 18, stabbed himself numerous times in the chest early yesterday at the family’s house on Davenport Avenue in Queens Village.

Officials called the death a suicide.

His father, Theodore Furman, discovered the body at 10:19 a.m.

Furman had been a student at the Bronx HS of Science but dropped out last July without completing his senior year.

His family told police he had been under psychological care since at least last summer, and had recently appeared increasingly disturbed.

“We’re so devastated. No one can understand how this has happened,” said the teen’s uncle, who declined to give his name.
