L.I. GOV’T WORKER BUSTED IN RAPE

A 22-year-old man who worked at the Nassau County Executive Office Building has been charged with raping a female acquaintance at his Baldwin home.

Christopher Smith was busted Friday on a first-degree rape charge after the woman reported that he had forced her to have sex at his home, police said.

Smith, who a neighbor said was “heavily involved” in Tom Suozzi’s campaign for county executive, pleaded not guilty yesterday.

Smith jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is due back in court March 13.
