NO PREGNANT PAUSE FOR SARAH JESSICA

In the next few weeks, the producers of “Sex and the City” might need to get creative to cover up Sarah Jessica Parker’s growing belly, the pregnant star says.

Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick learned a baby was on the way after the HBO series had begun shooting its fifth season.

“They’re still dressing me in clothes that seem right for the character, and we’re still making the same show. Some [camouflage methods] are more imaginative than others,” Parker told Tribune Media’s Jay Bobbin.

When Parker in April told her bosses she was pregnant, shooting stopped for a few weeks and then resumed when show producers decided the pregnancy would not be written into the storyline.

“It’s not glaring, at least not yet . . . we’ve been able to get away with it to this point,” she says.

“By the end of our shooting schedule, though, I don’t know,” she says.

“Not having been pregnant before, I’m not sure how I’ll carry it off. We wrap towards the end of July, and still having a few weeks of shooting is pretty significant at this point in my pregnancy.

“We’re still doing a lot of night shoots, which often has nothing to do with outside scenes. That’s just been our practice for five years now,” she says.

The new season is slated to debut Sunday, July 21 at 9 p.m.

When Parker first learned she was pregnant, she became concerned about how it would affect the people she works with. “I knew it would have no bearing on Carrie’s storyline, so it would not be an issue that way,” she says.
