TEARY-EYED Ryan Star shined a little less bright last night – she was the latest pop-star wannabe booted from Fox’s hit talent show, “American Idol.”
Star, 19, who had made it into the semifinals, scored the smallest percentage of the 9 million-plus viewer votes tallied this week.
Hosts Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman broke the bad news to the Sunland, Calf., native on last night’s live, half-hour edition of the show.
Then, in a cruel twist during the final seconds of the telecast, the show’s hosts prompted the broken-hearted Star to sing “Last Dance.”
