E!’S “Anna Nicole Show” debuted to record-setting numbers Sunday night.
The “Osbournes”-wannabe reality show, chronicling the backstage life of mumbling supersized model Anna Nicole Smith, notched over 4 million viewers at 10 p.m. – the highest-rated reality series debut in cable history.
“The Anna Nicole Show” was, by far, the top-rated show in E! history, eclipsing even its pre-Oscars show with co-hosts Joan and Melissa Rivers.
“Anna Nicole” tied FX’s “The Shield” as the second-highest-rated series premiere in cable history.
USA’s “The Dead Zone” was cable’s top-rated premiere to date.
