A design for a memorial at the World Trade Center site could be chosen by the second anniversary of the terror attack in September 2003, officials said yesterday.
Even as figuring out what goes where at Ground Zero has slowed down, officials at the Lower Manhattan Development Corp. said they are trying to speed up the memorial process.
“It’s an anticipated goal, a goal in which we hope there would be a design brought forward by a selection committee,” said Anita Contini of the LMDC.
