A FULL GLASS

The Bar Belles don’t normally enjoy hanging out at bars that look too terribly neat.

(Truth be told, we believe drinks taste better when quaffed in the same room with a heavily graffitied bar, smudged-up jukebox and tank top-clad ‘tender.)

But lo, last week we found ourselves at Glass, a newish bar in west Chelsea. (Total disclosure: We were there because one of us was DJ’ing.)

Glass is shaped like a test tube and lit like the frosty inside of a Sub-Zero. The space – which has a great tiled-in back garden – is studded with Jetson-esque low tables and chairs shaped like caved-in golf balls.

As you might expect, there’s also a lot of glass.

Whatever. We were, of course, more interested in their specialty cocktails, which are made with exotic nectars like pomegranate and raspberry. The drinks are generous (they should be for $10), the crowd is adequately mixed (hipster/investor ratio is even) and the staff is so pleasant that we’re willing to overlook their clean shirts.

Glass, 287 10th Ave. (between 26th & 27th streets); (212) 904-1580.
