SITTER FACES PUNCH-SLAY RAP

A baby sitter accused of killing a 3-year-old Long Island boy angrily punched him in the belly for wetting his bed, Nassau County Police said yesterday.

John Wyatt, 42, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the death Monday of Tyjuan Mayo, of Roosevelt.

Wyatt, an unemployed fork lift operator, was also minding four other children, aged 1 to 13.

After the child wet his bed, Wyatt got angry and disciplined him with “several blows” to his stomach, said Detective Sgt. Herbert Daub of the Nassau County Homicide Squad.

Tyjuan, who went back upstairs, later fell when he came down the stairs again, cops said.

Wyatt told a 13-year-old to call 911 and tell them the child fell down the stairs, cops said.
