HOOPS-HURT INMATE SUES

An inmate is suing the city for $5 million for injuries suffered while he was at the Brooklyn House of Detention – playing basketball.

Qiydaar Reddick, 21, was locked up on a robbery charge on June 11, 2002, when he decided to shoot some hoops, according to authorities.

He claims he was “lawfully playing basketball on the court” when he tripped on some loose bricks and heard his knee crack, according to his lawyer, Paul Campson, who filed the complaint at Brooklyn Supreme Court.

“He was running and bricks popped up and he wiped out,” said Campson, who added that Reddick may now need surgery to fix the fracture.
