THE BRONX

* A 20-year-old driver has been arrested for shooting a man at least eight times in a road-rage incident in Soundview, authorities said yesterday.

Carol Hamilton, a man, was busted and charged with attempted murder, assault and gun possession on Friday.

A week earlier, Hamilton had had a heated argument with another driver, Rasheed Binns, over Hamilton’s vehicle blocking the road at Lacombe Avenue and Bronx River Avenue.

The dispute erupted into violence when Hamilton drew a gun and shot Binns, 24, in the thigh, shoulder and groin, police said.

Binns was critically injured.

The victim was wounded in the lobby of the building at Garden Street near Crotona Avenue at around 1 a.m. Saturday, when an assailant pulled a gun, opened fire and fled.

The young man staggered out to a security office in the courtyard.

A security guard tended to the man and called 911. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

* A 28-year-old woman says she was raped by an ex-boyfriend who beat her unconscious in her Soundview apartment, authorities said yesterday.

The woman reported the alleged attack to police on Nov. 21. She told cops she had been dating the 36-year-old, unidentified man for three weeks when she found out he was married, and broke up with him on Oct. 16.

That same day, she claims, he kicked down the front door of her apartment and barged into her bedroom, where he found her hiding.

She told cops the man grabbed her, tossed her onto the bed and put a knife to her throat.

She grabbed a hard object and attempted to hit the man, but he smashed her in the nose, knocking her out, she claims.

When she awoke, lying on her stomach, the man sexually attacked her, she told cops.
