MUGGED COP NABS EAST HARLEM PUNK

An off-duty cop walking from an East Harlem station house managed to capture one of four teens who jumped him and tried to rob him yesterday morning, police said.

The officer – whose name and age were not released – finished his tour at the 23rd Precinct and was heading for a subway when he was grabbed from behind at the corner of East 109th Street and Second Avenue at 1:45 a.m.

The suspects then tried to run, but the officer managed to grab one of them, a 15-year-old who police say has a criminal record. The teen is charged with robbery.
