As he continues trying to convince former French defender Laurent Blanc to join the MetroStars, coach Bob Bradley may yet receive some help from another source.
Word is the winless (0-1-2) Metros are on the verge of signing a young international left back to bolster their defense, which has allowed only three goals in three games.
Bradley, meanwhile, reiterated his interest in the retired Blanc, who played recently with Manchester United and won the World Cup with France.
“I’m hoping to see him at some point soon,” Bradley said yesterday. “He’s here visiting Youri [Djorkaeff] and seeing New York. We’ll see.”
The Metros visit Colorado Saturday, with defenders Jeff Agoos (calf) and Jeff Parke (mild concussion) questionable.
