‘O.C.’FEELS[[B+]]THEFORCE

THE Empire sells out – again.

“Star Wars” creator George Lucas will appear as himself on the May 12 episode of Fox’s teen drama, “The O.C.

During the episode, Lucas shows some interest in a graphic novel written by Seth, one of the show’s main characters, and invites the teen to dinner. The meeting leads Seth to make a major decision about his love life.

It is believed that Lucas has made himself available to the show to help promote his new film, “Revenge of the Sith,” the third and final installment of the prequel “Star Wars” saga that opens next month.

This is far from Lucas’ first foray into television, although it is rare for the film mogul to appear in a dramatic role.

Lucas has said he plans to churn out at least two “Star Wars”-themed TV shows in the next few years. One will be to turn the critically acclaimed Cartoon Network shorts, “Clone Wars,” into regular programming and another would be a live-action “Star Wars” TV show that would take place in the time period between the two trilogies.
