MUSLIM NATIONS – AND EVEN HAMAS – JOINED THE REST OF THE WORLD IN CONDEMNING …

Muslim nations – and even Hamas – joined the rest of the world in condemning yesterday’s terror attacks in London as barbaric.

“Targeting civilians . . . is denounced and rejected,” said Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy political chief of Hamas, itself the architect of dozens of lethal bombings against Israeli civilians over the years.

Arab leaders expressed sympathy for and solidarity with Britain as word of the blasts spread, and European leaders quickly closed ranks.

“We Spaniards know well the suffering that the British people are going through today,” Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero said, referring to last year’s Madrid train bombings. “We unite with their grief, as they and so many other people united with ours.”

International Olympic Committee head Jacques Rogge was “deeply saddened” by the attack on the city just selected to host the 2012 Summer Games, and Russian President Vladimir Putin called on “all civilized countries” to “unite in the fight against international terrorism.”

Meanwhile, Lebanese Islamic scholar Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah called the bombings “a barbarism wholly rejected by Islam.”
