HELP NAB BULLY WHO BEAT BUBBA

He’s a pup badly in need of love – and justice!

Animal-welfare officials are offering a $1,000 reward to help find the cruel culprit who beat a puppy to a pulp with a pipe in The Bronx – splitting his forehead open and badly breaking a paw.

“He was just beaten because he was a pit bull, guilty of nothing,” said Jeanne Tannenbaum of Animal Care and Control. “The dog is sweet, not vicious.”

Nicknamed Bubba by shelter staff because he’s a big lug, the brown pooch was found on Tinton Avenue and taken to the shelter after an anonymous tip.

His head is severely swollen. There’s a gnarly scar, streaked in red, across his scalp. His left eye is swollen shut. And the bones in his left hind paw are so badly busted up that he may be facing amputation.

Bubba, believed to be less than a year old, is being treated at the Manhattan AC&C shelter on East 110th Street. Animal cruelty is punishable by up to four years in prison.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call (212) 341-0044.
