TWO GUN-RUNNING RIGS SHOT DOWN – DOZENS OF WEAPONS OFF STREETS

A joint law-enforcement team has dismantled two rings of interstate pistol pushers, officials announced yesterday.

The busts dealt a “serious blow to the iron pipeline,” said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Roslynn Mauskopf at a press conference where guns purchased by undercover agents were on display (right).

One of the rings was so off target that it sold a cache of weapons to undercover agents in a Queens parking lot across the street from an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives field office.

The rings bought guns in South Carolina and peddled them here.

Four people were arrested from one ring and six from another. They were collared by a joint team of the ATF, the NYPD and the State Police.
