MARY’S HOT PICK

IF you’re a Thelonious Monk-ophile, here’s a concert to tickle your ears.

Over a few Mondays in the next month, the Tribeca Performing Arts Center (199 Chambers St.; [212] 220-1460) presents “Jazz in Progress – Monk in Motion – The Next Face in Jazz,” which features the top three finalists at the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition held in September.

On Monday night, winner Tigran Hamasyan (pictured), an Armenian now living in California, performs.

On Nov. 27, third-place finalist Aaron Parks, from Seattle, is slated to perform, and on Dec. 18, Gerald Clayton, who was born in Holland but also lives in California, will appear. Each artist will lead an ensemble.

Tickets are $25 through the box office or tribecapac.org, and the show begins at 7 p.m.
