DOIN’ THE TITAN UP IN TAMPA

Including the 1997-2006 seasons in The Post, Cat’s 12-year record in print stands at 332-270 (55.1 percent) against the spread.

THE PICK

Titans (+3) over BUCS: Cat had Tampa rated higher than most did early on, but cluster injuries at running back (with Michael Pittman now out indefinitely) leave Jeff Garcia and his receivers to carry the whole load. That’s too much to ask against a coach (Jeff Fisher) and quarterback (Vince Young) who thrive in underdog role. Tenny turned the ball over five times against the Falcons, but still won by a touch. Still believe Young’s up against an inches-thick glass ceiling in terms of how far his style can carry him in this league, but in a midseason matchup vs. an average NFC entry, count me in. A clean game, and Fisher and Young’s rope-a-dope resourcefulness prevails (+3) for one unit.

LAST WEEK: 1-1 (even units). Northwestern (plus one unit). Packers (minus one unit).

SEASON: 7-5 (plus two units).
