TROT WAS TOO HOT FOR MARIE ON ‘STARS’

Heavily huffing hoofer Marie Osmond suddenly collapsed on stage after a robust samba routine on a live “Dancing with the Stars” last night, as a national TV audience watched in horror.

“Oh, crap!” the chubby-cheeked former “Donny and Marie” star said after being revived during the wildly popular ABC show that pairs B-list celebrities with professional dancers and then has the public vote on their routines.

Osmond, 48, later told show co-host Samantha Harris, “Once in a while, that happens to me when I get winded. And I stop breathing. I’m so sorry. I’m really sorry.”

The beloved cutie-pie singer had just finished her exhausting routine with ballroom-dance-pro partner Jonathan Roberts when she started wildly giggling and jumping up and down onstage.

As judge Len Goodman started to give his critique of the pair, she abruptly crumpled to the floor. Her fall was partly broken by Roberts.

Roberts knelt over her as she remained splayed on the floor, only her feet visible for the cameras. An obviously stunned host Tom Bergeron then announced to the equally shocked audience, “We’re going to take a commercial break.”

When the show returned, Bergeron said, “Marie is fine . . . and I want to quote her exactly. She passed out, as you saw, and the first words out of her mouth when she saw us all leaning over her were, ‘Oh, crap.’ ”

The bubbly Baby Boomer singer, who has made no secret of her recent weight-loss efforts, was stuffed into a sexy, blue, ruffled dress at the time.
