FIRST SIGN OF SMOKE,DEMS FIRE ON BUSH

It’s beyond the pale for anyone to actually believe that President Bush is responsible for the San Diego fires when it’s been the likes of hippie environmentalists who’ve protested any cleaning up of underbrush that would have prevented such fires from occurring (“Caught in the Line of Fire,” Oct. 24).

Global warming is not man-made. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon involving solar flares and ocean, atmospheric and surface conditions, which are always in flux.

No amount of increased taxation will undo what Mother Earth wills.

I have some advice for the infantile, knee-jerk reactionaries of the far left: Get over your raging hatred for the president. He has won two elections, and many of his actions have had the approval of the Democrats.

The events in California are an act of God.

But since the party of the ACLU has outlawed God, and since there is no God who controls our fate, it is the arrogant fools of the far left who now promise that, if elected, there will be no more floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, fires or other severe-weather events.

Through it all, they know that whatever they say will be uncritically accepted by their coat holders in the news media.

What is it with those idiot liberal Democrats in the Senate?

First they blamed Bush for Hurricane Katrina, and now Sen. Barbara Boxer goes on one of her usual rants against Bush, saying he is to blame for the fires in California.

I wish someone would record them and play it back to show how stupid they sound.

But what can you expect from Californian-elected people? Hopefully, one day the residents will smarten up and elect someone with a brain.
