Starr Report

Say what you will about “Grey’s Anatomy” – you’re either sick of all the cloying “McDreamy” nonsense already, or you still love the show – but there’s no arguing its appeal among a certain crowd.

Last Thursday’s “Grey’s” episode notched a whopping 7.3 among adults 18-49 – far outdistancing its closet competitor (Red Sox-Rockies World Series, Game 2) and keeping that smile frozen on the faces of ABC execs. “Grey’s” even drew more viewers in the one hour it competed with the Sox-Rox game (18 million vs. 17 million from 9 to 10 p.m.).

Armand Assante (left) has landed a recurring role on ABC’s “October Road” portraying Gabriel Diaz, Aubrey’s (Odette Yustman) father. Assante will also be seen in the ballyhooed big-screen movie “American Gangster” (Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe), opening Friday.
