BOUND, BEATEN, BURNED

A Brooklyn woman was held captive for two weeks by a jealous boyfriend who tied her to a baby crib in his apartment, beat her with an electric cord and repeatedly burned her with a curling iron, sources said yesterday.

Jason Page, 34, apparently snapped when he suspected his 22-year-old girlfriend was seeing another man, the sources said.

“I’m so scared he’s going to come after me. I’m afraid he’s going to make bail,” a battered Denetria Council told The Post from her room at Woodhull Hospital.

The home health aide managed to escape yesterday after Page dozed off, according to the sources.

The bleeding, severely burned woman was in critical but stable condition.

Her enraged father, William Council, said he had repeatedly called Page’s home on Bushwick Avenue looking for his daughter.

“He would tell me she was at work and that her hours had changed,” he said.

“This is a bad, bad man.

“Her whole body looks like she was in a fire. She told me he was beating her with an iron rod [curling iron] and burning her with it.”

Page allegedly stuffed a sock in her mouth and covered it with duct tape. He also burned the bottoms of her feet with a lighter, the sources said.

He carried out his torture sessions in front of his 3- and 7-month-old children and tied Council to the baby’s crib, her relatives said.

“My daughter didn’t deserve this,” her father said.

Page also used an electric cord to beat her arms, legs, back and chest – but was careful to avoid hitting her face, the police source said.

After Council escaped, Page allegedly tracked her to her parents’ house. The sources said he arrived shortly before cops did and tried to choke her in full view of neighbors.

Page was arrested after trying to flee on a city bus. He was charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment and weapons possession.

“He was a real jealous guy. He was always questioning who she was seeing,” said Sam Wright, Council’s stepfather.

“We thought something was up, and we would call over there, and she’d tell us she was fine,” Wright recalled. “That’s because he was standing over her with an iron rod while she was on the phone.”
