This a peek at the face of evil – a powerfully built mugger being hunted for a string of vicious bat attacks on unsuspecting women on the Upper East Side.
The suspect, who is bald, black, about 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds, last struck early Tuesday morning.
He allegedly followed the victim on East 89th Street, near York Avenue, knocked her into a garbage pile and jumped on her before a doorman chased him away.
A nearby doorman was able to scare the fiend away, chasing him down the street.
Earlier that evening, the thug attacked two other women, ages 42 and 25, with baseball bats.
Sources also say the brute is responsible for a mugging in Central Park last month where a woman was robbed of $15,000 in jewelry.
