Thanks to “True Blood” and “90210,” vampires and ’90s TV-reincarnations are all the rage.
Cue the CW’s upcoming dramas, “The Vampire Diaries” and “Melrose Place.”
Based on the book series by L.J. Smith, “Vampire Diaries” tells the story of blood-drinking brothers, the good Stefan (Paul Wesley) and the evil Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder), who war over mortal Elana Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) in the small town of Mystic falls, Virginia.
As for the reboot of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” counterpart, “Melrose Place” brings back the same drama with a set of fresh faces. After watching the three promos after the jump, we get the feelings that the CW has achieved “Gossip Girl” status with “Melrose,” which has the look and feel of those good old soap operas you can’t help but get hooked on.
