Florida scientists are trying to track down an underwater robot nicknamed “Waldo” that mysteriously vanished in the waters off the Gulf Coast.
The remote-controlled, $100,000 robot equipped with a detector to find red tide, a toxic algae bloom, has been missing for a week from the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota.
