A Betsey Johnson store manager nabbed a shoplifter who swiped $1,600 in merchandise from the trendy East Side shop, authorities said yesterday.

The manager, Meghan Dismuke, spotted Vanessa Gutierrez, 20, shoving a scarf, shirt, pants, purses and earrings into a bag in the store on East 60th Street near Second Avenue on Feb. 18, police said.

Gutierrez allegedly ran from the store, but Dismuke gave chase and stopped her nearby, sparking a confrontation.

“She spit on me and kicked me. There were a group of people who saw me chasing her, and we collectively stopped her,” Dismuke said.

Gutierrez was charged with robbery and grand larceny.

An ice-pick-wielding thief who recently stole jeans from a Gap store in Midtown has also been linked to a bizarre Duane Reade stickup, authorities said yesterday.

On Feb. 18, Nathaniel Godbold, 42, allegedly grabbed a large stack of jeans from a table in the Gap on West 57th Street near Eighth Avenue.

A store employee confronted Godbold, who pulled the ice pick from his sleeve and lunged at the worker, cops said. Police were called and arrested Godbold.

He was later connected to a Jan. 31 Duane Reade heist in which he was caught on video surveillance stealing curling irons and blow dryers, authorities said. He was charged with robbery and weapon possession.

Police nabbed two men who were allegedly carrying more than $6,000 in stolen high-end clothes in Greenwich Village.

Officers grabbed William Ray, 37, on Sixth Avenue near West Third Street at 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 18. He was allegedly holding one jacket and two dresses that were stolen from Barney.

Nearby, cops busted Ray’s suspected accomplice, Deshawn Davis, 34, with two blazers and a dress allegedly taken from a Banana Republic store.

Both were charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

Brooklyn

A gunman opened fire last night on a Crown Heights street, fatally wounding a man and striking a woman with a stray slug, cops said.

The intended target, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the chest at around 6:50 p.m. on St. John’s Place near Buffalo Avenue.

A 28-year-old woman was shot in her left leg and taken to Kings County Hospital. No arrests have been made.

This guy needed a drink in the worst way.

José Santana brutally beat a Kensington bar worker with a pipe after the victim refused to serve him, police said yesterday.

Santana, 24, became irate when the 33-year-old worker told him the bar was closing at 4 a.m. Sunday, sources said.

The thug barked, “I’m going to get people here to beat you up,” then left the bar, cops said.

He allegedly returned with the pipe, using it to repeatedly hit the worker in the face, causing lacerations, cops said.

Police were called and arrested Santana, who was charged with assault.

Two Park Slope thieves wanted some fast cash when they drove away with an ATM, authorities said yesterday.

Michael Martinez, 37, and Alexander Martinez, 40, were quickly arrested and charged with grand larceny, police said.

They drove away with the ATM from a furniture store on Fifth Avenue near 16th Street at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, cops said.

A man at a bar next door heard a loud bang and saw their car pulling away after tearing the gate off the storefront, sources said.

The witness called 911, and police spotted the suspects nearby, breaking into the ATM and taking out money, cops said.

Queens

A Jamaica precinct commander witnessed a deadly shootout yesterday and arrested one of the shooters, cops said.

Deputy Inspector Charles McEvoy spotted two groups of men firing at each other at around 3 p.m. on 164th Street near 109th Avenue. He then got out of his car, chased after the suspects and nabbed a 27-year-old man.

Two other men, ages 18 and 47, were picked up in a get-away car a few blocks away, cops said.

The shootout left a 29-year-old man dead and a 24-year-old man in critical condition.

Staten Island

A woman who swiped a GPS system from a vehicle in Fresh Kills was nabbed after police responded to a call of a person checking car-door handles, authorities said yesterday.

Police grabbed Marissa Flanagan, 24, with the stolen GPS unit and credit cards on Benson Street near Woodrow Road at 10 a.m. Saturday, cops said. She was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan said.

A teen starred in his own Wild West show when he fired his gun into the air in front of 100 people on a Mariners Harbor street, officials said.

Marcus Dale, 18, shot his .40-caliber pistol three times on the corner of Maple and Grove avenues at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, cops said.

When police arrived, witnesses fingered Dale. He was charged him with weapons possession, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
