Jockey injured before third race at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Jockey Jermaine Bridgmohan received emergency treatment in the paddock, then was taken by ambulance to the hospital when his mount Cincinnati Kid reared before yesterday’s third race and kicked Bridgmohan in the chest.

Whether the horse’s hoof caught Bridgmohan in his chest protector is not known, nor is the extent of his injuries at this time.

Jermaine Bridgmohan is the younger brother of jockey Shaun Bridgmohan, who is riding today in West Virginia.
