Devils’ White has knee bruise, could play after break: report

Devils defenseman Colin White has a deep knee bruise and could return to play after this weekend’s NHL All-Star Game, NJ.com reports.

“We sent Colin White for an MRI (exam) and CAT scan to make sure. There is nothing structural. He just needs time,” Lou Lamoriello said Wednesday, according to the website. “There is nothing structurally wrong with his lower body. It’s a serious bruise. Hopefully he’ll be fine after the (All-Star) break.”

The Devils’ play the Red Wings in their final game before the break Tuesday night.

White has been out since leaving Saturday’s game against the Flyers.
