Queens cops were called to a fight that ended with one sister killing another — but never made it to the home because of other Mother’s Day mayhem that appeared more urgent, police sources said yesterday.
In a bizarre twist, one of the 911 calls that sidetracked the officers was a nearby street fight involving a crazed woman attacking another female, the sources said. That suspect turned out to be the sister, who, in earlier, unrelated case, had allegedly carved up her sibling, cutting off her nose and ears.
The cops are under investigation, sources said, but it appears that the night’s craziness was to blame. The 911 operator also is being probed over whether she failed to make the call a higher priority.
The sources said cops first got a 911 call about an “argument” at the Baisley Park Houses apartment that Sharon Lee Hill, 58, an ABC Studios employee, shared with her younger sister, 41.
But the two cops assigned that call got another for an “assault” around the same time, which took priority.
After busting that suspect, one of the cops went back out to another assault — the one that turned out to involve Hill’s sister. She was hospitalized as disturbed.
A 911 operator later asked one of the cops about the Baisley Park call and seven others he’d juggled. The cop told probers that in his confusion, he mistakenly told the dispatcher the Baisley Park call was unfounded.
Cops went to Hill’s apartment the next afternoon, after another sister found the body and called 911.
