Kaka cools talk on England move after mom’s tweet

LONDON — Real Madrid playmaker Kaka Tuesday played down talk linking him with a switch to the English Premier League next season, after his mom suggested the move was all but assured.

Kaka’s mom, Simone Leite, wrote on Twitter last week, “Next season we will be in London, spreading the word of God. We will be there from August. I tell you.”

Leite will indeed be moving to London to work as a preacher, but Kaka insists he will not be following her.

“I want to stay at Real Madrid and I want to play for Real Madrid,” said Kaka.

“My mother is coming to live in London next year. She is a preacher and she is coming to talk about God.

“I want to stay at Real Madrid and I want to play for Real Madrid.”

The Brazil international has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital, having struggled to establish himself at the Bernabeu.

There were rumors he could be tempted to join Chelsea where he could be reunited with former AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti, while big-spending Manchester City has also been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old.

“I have a challenge with Real Madrid,” Kaka admitted, but added, “I don’t want to think now about playing in the Premier League or going back to Italy.

“I have a good relationship with Carlo [Ancelotti] but the truth is that I want to stay in Madrid, I want to play in Madrid and I want to live in Madrid.”
